Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to container rentals supplied by Cottonwood Heights Dumpster Guys.

Last updated 24 July 2026.

These terms apply to container rentals supplied by Cottonwood Heights Dumpster Guys. Booking a container means accepting them.

Quotes and pricing

Quotes are given as a flat rate covering delivery, the stated rental period, collection, disposal, a stated tonnage allowance and load covering. Loads exceeding the tonnage allowance are charged at the per-ton overage rate quoted at booking, evidenced by the disposal facility scale ticket, which is available on request.

Rental period

The standard rental period is seven days from delivery unless agreed otherwise. Extensions are charged at the daily rate agreed at booking. Please give notice before the scheduled collection date if a project is running long.

Placement and access

The customer is responsible for ensuring a safe, legal and accessible placement location, and for obtaining any permission required for placement on public property or in the public right-of-way. We protect surfaces with planking and chock containers on grade as standard, but cannot accept liability for damage to driveways, curbs, yards, underground services, septic systems, lateral fields, irrigation or paving arising from a placement requested by the customer.

We may decline a placement where we judge it unsafe or likely to cause damage, including on grades we assess as beyond safe placement, and will discuss alternatives.

Loading and prohibited materials

Containers must be loaded level with the rim. Loads heaped above the rim cannot be legally transported and will need to be reduced before collection. In accordance with Utah's secured-load law (Utah Code 72-7-410), every load is covered before transport; the customer must not remove or defeat that covering.

The following must not be placed in a container: liquids, paints, solvents, oils, fuel, batteries, propane and other pressurised cylinders, tires, refrigerant-containing appliances, asbestos-containing materials, medical or biohazardous waste, and any material classified as hazardous. Such materials should be taken to the Salt Lake County Household Hazardous Waste facility or handled by a licensed specialist. Concrete and clean masonry must be placed in a designated clean-fill container, and soil must be kept clean and dry to avoid the higher mixed-waste disposal rate. The customer is responsible for the contents and for any charges, fines or remediation costs arising from prohibited material.

Collection

Access must be clear on the scheduled collection date. Where a container cannot be collected because access is obstructed, a failed collection charge applies.

Liability

Our liability in connection with any rental is limited to the amount paid for that rental. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including project delay.

Payment

Residential rentals are payable at booking. Account customers are invoiced on agreed terms. Overage and additional charges are invoiced after collection with supporting documentation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
